Lawyer Anna Heinrich won The Bachelor Tim Robard’s heart.
Loved-up Bachelorette Anna Heinrich is relieved the Network Ten series has ended and she can parade with her new beau Tim Robards in public.
Heinrich said they have been having “secret rendezvous” for the past 10 weeks because they did not want to give away the ending of the Network Ten series.
Tim Robards with his final rose Anna.
She believed the pair would have a long lasting relationship and scoffed at rumours Robards had hooked-up again with his ex-girlfriend.
“I am so relieved that we can be ourselves and let people know we are still together,” Heinrich said.
“I know there are rumours that he has gone back to his ex and it’s completely wrong and untrue.
“We have spoken to each other every day and we have secret rendezvous, so it’s not like we have been completely been separated for those 10 weeks (since the final episode was taped).”
Robards handed the final rose to the 26-year-old lawyer, leaving model Rochelle Emanuel-Smith wilting in the last episode.
Heinrich said it had been tough remaining silent over the past few weeks, especially when rumours started to surfacing about Robards seeing his ex-girlfriend and that he partied like a single man at the Melbourne Cup horse racing carnival.
“We are absolutely still together,” Heinrich said.
“We’re so happy and compatible and we can see a long and happy future together.”
Heinrich said they had to keep their relationship secret because of a contractual agreement to protect the final episode of The Bachelor.
She said finding a partner on a reality TV show was not her idea with her friends putting her name forward.
For that she is now eternally grateful.
“I never thought I’d go on a reality TV show, one of my friends signed me up for it,” she said.
“I have been single for 26 years and I thought why not, I can’t find a man in the real world so why not have a go at the reality world.”
Network Ten has commissioned a second series of The Bachelor Australia for 2014.
