AN art gallery opening will just be the tip of the promotional iceberg when Lady Gaga descends on Australia in January.
She announced her impending visit today by inviting fans to contribute their own creative efforts to a pop-up ARTPOP Gallery which she will open.
It is expected Gaga will also reveal details for an Australian tour in 2014.
Speculation is already mounting she will perform a one-off show for her Little Monsters in the vein of her spectacular Monster Hall performance to launch her Born This Way record in 2011.
The only details released of the visit so far is an invitation to her Little Monsters to submit “unique and awe-inspiring art” to artpopgallery.com.au for potential exhibition.
“You communicate with me and each other with pictures, and artwork, graphics all day 24/7 … You’re an ARTPOP generation. I’m hoping you will all continue to grow together and stay connected through your creativity,” Gaga told fans.
Her ARTPOP record debuted at No. 1 on iTunes but had slipped to No. 7 at lunchtime, with fierce competition from Dami I’m, Little Mix, Eminem, Illy, Katy Perry and a dance compilation.
