UPDATE: Popular Australian comedian Fiona O’Loughlin has tweeted that her daughter is safe after earlier announcing on the social networking site that Biddy was missing.
While O’Loughlin says she is “ok”, she still has no idea where her daughter is.
The mother-of-five, 50, posted pictures of Biddy and appealed for help on both her Twitter and Facebook profiles around 11.20am AEDT this morning.
“Police are able to confirm that they have received a report that Biddy O’Laughlin has left home,” Victoria Police spokeswoman Belle Nolan said this afternoon.
“Police have a number of enquiries to make in relation to this report and appeal for Biddy to come forward and let us know she is ok.
“The 25-year-old was reported missing to Prahran Police station on Monday evening.”
O’Loughlin’s tweets were re-tweeted hundreds of times by followers eager to help.
Her agent, Heather Tyas, at Andrew Taylor Management declined to comment when contacted.
“I’ve spoken to Fiona and she’s not doing anything with the media at the moment,” Ms Tyas said.
“She’s liaising with Victoria Police and seeking their advice.”
O’Loughlin has previously spoken of Biddy’s talent for comedy.
“I’ll admit it,” O’Loughlin told the Daily Telegraph in June 2011. “She’s bigger and better than me.”
“Biddy absolutely savages me on stage.”
